King & Rye Brings a Taste of the South to Alexandria
Your search for the ultimate Southern meal has come to an end! Newly opened King & Rye serves shrimp and grits, buttermilk biscuits, and banana pudding, plus a whole lot more. Stop in for a classy weekend brunch of sumptuous breakfast favorites like house smoked bacon Benedict, cast iron cinnamon rolls, and Anson Mills coarse grits. After a busy weekend brunch service, King & Rye shutters its doors in preparation for dinner Wednesdays through Saturdays for rich dishes of roast chicken, braised pork, and rainbow trout. King & Rye is also equally as serious about their cocktail menu with an emphasis on an expansive whiskey offering (as their name might indicate).
Initial reviews on Yelp are mostly positive, with folks clamoring for more spicy deviled eggs, creamy squash soup, and signature K&R burgers piled high with smoked cheddar. Find King & Rye in Old Town on the first floor of the Alexandrian hotel. Like the hotel, the restaurant is pet friendly.
