Old Town Farmers’ Market: 70 Vendors Selling Fresh Produce and More
Fun fact: The Old Town Farmer’ Market is the oldest in the country continuously held at the same site, and George Washington often sent his produce from Mount Vernon to be sold there. How can you not shop a market with so much local history?
Find the Old Town Farmers’ Market on King Street in front of City Hall every Saturday morning until noon. Find everything you need for a well-stocked pantry and refrigerator, whether you’re looking for tons of fresh produce and meat, cheese, or poultry to cook with, or prepared foods to heat and eat when you need good food fast. The market also features home goods like handmade soaps, potted plants, and artwork. Don’t forget to grab a few gifts, or unique pieces to treat yourself after a long stay-at-home season.
Parking is free in the adjacent Market Square Parking Garage during market hours, or you can easily visit via the accessible routes on the trolley or DASH bus. See you there this Saturday!
