Alexandria’s Ice & Lights: Go Ice Skating in a Real-Life Winter Wonderland
If you’re seeking a spot to go ice skating in a real-life winter wonderland, Ice & Lights at The Winter Village at Cameron Run is a must-visit. Now through Feb. 29, the ice rink will be open on Friday evenings through Sunday weekly. Once you’ve worked up an appetite you can head over to the Slice & Ice concessions stand for festive food like hot chocolate, warm doughnut holes, and, of course, pizza slices.
Skating is $8 per person, along with a $4 skate rental if you don’t have your own. If you have the little ones tagging along, they do offer skate aids for free on a first-come, first-served basis so they can glide around and have a grand ol’ time without your help! It’s recommended that if you’re headed there on a weekend you purchase your tickets in advance online because there are some days that they will sell out, or you’ll have to wait in a long chilly line rather than hitting the ice first.
